Kid’s Fishing Derby at Pebblebrook Pond 2023 in Sherman, Texas

The Kid’s Fishing Derby is a great opportunity for families to enjoy the great outdoors together. We will be stocking Pebblebrook pond with nearly 1,000 trout to ensure that every kid casting will have an opportunity to catch a fish. Every kid that registers will receive a goodie bag. Make sure to keep your best fish because prizes will be given to the kids that have the heaviest string of 5 and the biggest fish in each age category. No fish caught before 9AM can be counted towards the prizes. Make sure to stay after your fish are weighed and measured for a free hot dog lunch.

We do encourage adults to refrain from fishing during the fishing derby, and to help out kids who may be fishing for the first time. We will observe Texas Parks and Wildlife regulations, meaning kids will not need to having a fishing license, and their are limits on the amount of fish they are allowed to keep.
