Chili Cookoff benefiting the Grayson County Child Welfare Board at 903 Brewers, 1718 S Elm Street, Sherman, TX 75090. If you are proud of your chili and/or salsa, this is the competition for you! If you like eating chili, gathering with friends and making a difference in a child’s life, then this is an event you will not want to miss!
Gates Open at 8:00 am for chili and salsa cooks. Public tastings start at 12. Entertainment by Greg Guymon.
Come and show your support for the children in Grayson County and taste some amazing chili & salsa! For questions, please call 903.815.0386. Donations for tasting $10 minimum. Judging at 1 pm. Public tasting noon – 3 pm. Awards 3:00 pm.

Here’s how it works:
- Enter by yourself or with a partner (maximum 2 cooks per pot)
- additional $5 per team member if more than two cooks
- Any kind of Chili or Salsa
- Chili must be prepared and cooked on site. Salsa should be homemade and can be premade.
- Entry minimum 2 gallons per pot for judging and tasting
- Applicants must supply their own table, chairs*, stove, cooking pots, and utensils.
- Picnic table available if needed
- Taste samples should equal two bites
- Spoons, bowls and chips provided
- 1st, 2nd place (blind judging) and People Choice Awards (popular vote) for chili and salsa
- Prize for Top Showmanship
