2022 DOWAMA SOYO Winter Camp

Get ready, Winter Camp is back and we’re at a new location! WAMP will be held January 14-17 at Cross Point Camp (7310 Rock Creek Road, Kingston, OK 73439)!

Campers (7th – 12th grade students): Register online with the $50 deposit (remaining balance can be paid online or by check), and please return the health form to Chris Al-Dehneh (chrisaldehneh@gmail.com or St. George Orthodox Church – 5311 Mercer Street, Houston, TX 77005) by Monday, January 3, 2022.

Advisors (at least 18 years of age by September 1, 2021 and a Freshman in college): All applications must be sent to Chris Al-Dehneh (chrisaldehneh@gmail.com) no later than Monday, December 20, 2021.

*Winter Camp is organized by our diocese youth directors, who will be traveling with their teens and not arriving in advance. Therefore, we will be unable to provide transportation from any airport*

Here’s what you need to know:

• Wamp is for those in 7th-12th grade only.
• The cost for campers this year is $175. ($50 deposit now and $125 to be paid in full later)
• Any adults or college students who would like to attend and help are asked to submit an advisor application. The link for those applications will be on the registration home page.
• This year when you register/purchase tickets for Wamp, you will be asked to pay a $50 non-refundable deposit for each camper/ticket.
• You can choose to pay the remaining $125 balance by either check or credit card. Your confirmation email will have a link to pay online, or instructions for where to send your check.
• This $125 will be refundable up until January 3rd. After that, we will not be able to process any refunds.
•  From the moment you add “tickets” to your “cart,” you will have 15 minutes to complete your order. After those 15 minutes, those tickets will be released back into the pool.
• If there are no more tickets available when you log on, you can get a free waitlist ticket and your camper(s) will be added to the waitlist in the order they are received/registered. Wamp usually has quite a bit of movement. Especially for girls. If you get on the waitlist the first day, there is a good chance you will still get a spot!
• Your confirmation email will also contain a link to the medical release form. This is mandatory for your camper to attend Wamp! You can print and mail it or email it. Instructions will be in the email and on the form.
