We are throwing a New Orleans-Style Mardi Gras March in Downtown Sherman, following Main Street Mardi Gras, on Saturday, February 13, 2021!
Grab your parasol, beads, masks, or come as you are, and join in the FUN! Gather on the sidewalk in front of Old Iron Post, located at 101 N. Travis Street starting at 5:30pm. Then, at 6:00pm, a brass band will lead us in a New Orleans-Style Mardi Gras March, heading north down Travis Street for a couple of blocks, then returning back to Old Iron Post, where the band will play a few songs outside (weather permitting). Then Vieux Carre Messengers will play more of your Dixieland Jazz favorites inside of OIP starting at 7:00pm.
Come to Downtown Sherman to take part in Main Street Mardi Gras Spend to Win- discover deals, and enjoy all of the fun found inside of each participating downtown business on Saturday, February 13th 11am-5pm, then stick around to join in the first-ever Mardi March, and wrap up your celebration with live Jazz and great food
