4th Annual Sherman Jazz Classic

On Saturday, April 9th historic Downtown Sherman will be filled with lots of jazz music as the 4th annual Sherman Jazz Classic comes to town! The entertainment begins on the Grayson County Courthouse steps at 11:30am with an outstanding high school jazz band from Durant High School entertaining the crowd. The music moves to one of the jewels of historic Downtown Sherman, the Sherman Jazz Museum, from 2-5pm with the immensely talented Quintette The Jazz Refugees led by trombonist Greg Waits. In the evening 7-10pm you can hear The Chris Dickson Group at Old Iron Post with more jazz music! Also, on Sunday April 10th 1-4pm come out to hear Mr. P.C at Old Iron Post! The greatest part of all this event is totally free! Sponsored by the 501c3 Sherman Jazz and More Society the Sherman Jazz Classic brings outstanding artists in the jazz genre to historic Downtown Sherman annually helping to fulfill Sherman JAMS’ mission of enriching the musical opportunities and experiences available in Sherman Texas!
