Youth Volleyball League Registration Deadline

Registration Deadline: February 6th, 2022
Cost: $55 per player (T-Shirt included)
Location of practices: Taylor St. Gym (1424 Taylor St.)
Practices are 1 hour anytime between 5:30-8:30pm during the week and Saturday between 8am-2pm.
Location of games: Sherman Middle School
Youth Volleyball League will allow kids in 3rd through 6th grade to build their skills of volleyball in a team base setting. This league provides players to build new friendships and teaches teamwork. Teams will have practices scheduled and planned by the coach. Practices will be on Tuesdays and Saturday for 3rd and 4th grade league and Thursday and Saturday for 5th and 6th grade league. Leagues and practices may be combined if participation in low in a certain league. Teams will practice twice a week before games begin. After games begin teams will practice once a week and practice days will be their assigned day (Tuesday or Thursday). Games are played on Saturday’s starting March 19th, 2022.
This league’s success is dependent on the volunteer coaches. The Sherman Parks & Recreation team offers the tools and resources to help you coach your team to success. Whether you are new to the sport or very knowledgeable, a mandatory coaches meeting will be required to share rules, plan/schedule practice, and will be taught a few drills to help you kick start your practices. To be a volunteer coach you can sign up when you register your child or you can call the Sherman Parks & Recreation Office. A mandatory background check will be done.
