Located in the Crosstimbers Region, Juniper Point is home to the Toughest Little Trail in Texas. The annual Cross Timbers Trail Race is held each year in February. The Cross Timber Trail is mostly narrow, hilly trails with some rocky and hazardous areas. Out and back along the shores of scenic Lake Texoma in north Texas.
The area is mostly forested wilderness. Often the area is used for survival training and primitave camping. There are two campgrounds in the area – East and West. These campgrounds are owned and managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
